Consul General Inomata to visit San Francisco State University

On Friday, December 3, 2010, Consul General Hiroshi Inomata visited San Francisco State University (SFSU) to meet with President Robert Corrigan. The meeting was joined by Dr. Yenbo Wu, Associate Vice President for International Education and Professor Masahiko Minami to provide CG Inomata with an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest including the University's International Program. SFSU not only offers Japanese Language as major and minor, but also provides a program to study in Japan. While many SFSU students go to Japan on this program, SFSU receives students from Japan also. There are over 200 Japanese faculty members and students on the campus. The Consulate General will continue to strengthen ties and collaborate with SFSU to promote vigorous exchanges between SFSU and Japanese universities.

２０１０年１２月３日（金)、猪俣総領事はサンフランシスコ州立大学においてロバート・コリガン学長を表敬訪問しました。コリガン学長との会合にはイェン ボー・ウー 副学長及び南雅彦教授も同席し、同大学が実施する留学プログラムによる日本の大学との交流等につき話を伺いました。サンフランシスコ州立大学は、日本語を 専攻、副専攻科目として提供しているほか、日本の大学と提携して、毎年日本に留学生を送り出しています。また、キャンパスには２００名以上の日本人の教 員、学生が在籍しています。総領事館も引き続き同大学に対する支援や関係増進に努めて参ります。
